Kamal Jajoriya – Artist Biography

Kamal Jajoriya is a Delhi-based visual artist whose work reflects a deep passion for creativity and self-expression. His artistic journey began at the early age of five, driven by an innate love for painting that persisted even as he pursued Science in high school. Determined to follow his true calling, Kamal eventually dedicated himself fully to the arts.

He refined his skills at the esteemed Lalit Kala Akademi in Delhi, the National Academy of Art, where he absorbed not only technical proficiency but also the rich cultural legacy of Indian art. A defining moment in his early career came during an annual competition held at the Akademi, where one of his standout paintings sold for an impressive INR 56,000—marking a significant milestone in his journey.

Established in 1954, Lalit Kala Akademi has played a key role in Kamal's growth, providing a nurturing environment through its scholarships, fellowships, and exhibition opportunities. Today, Kamal Jajoriya continues to explore and expand his creative voice, inspiring emerging artists through his story and his art.
